Modernizing The Agency Ecosystem

Amy Thorne | Chief Future Officer | Dentsu Creative

The Magazine Kid: Growing up in Wisconsin, Amy's dream was to escape. She consumed magazines like nobody's business, not just for the articles but for the ads. That's where she decided she was going to be a designer, and that ambition has shape-shifted alongside her ever since. 📖

The Studio Brat: Amy started as a designer, then went with the flow as technology reshaped the industry. Right turns, left turns, all of it adding up. She's always been tied back to one thing: what can we do creatively to inspire and make the world a more beautiful place? 🎨

Humans at the Core: Amy's design and systems thinking led her to rethink the entire agency ecosystem. Her POV: humans are still at the center of everything. Technology augments the capacity to deliver emotion, humor, and connection. Not the other way around. 🧠

The Star Trek Kid: Amy calls herself a Star Trek kid. Her mom was in love with Captain Kirk. She uses that as a north star: you have to boldly go there. And right now, that frontier is seeing GenStudio and the dentsu+ model through from promise to reality. 🚀

Don't Be Afraid of the Mess: The best advice Amy ever got came from a colleague who told her to get a little messy and not be afraid of it. It's not all rainbows and unicorns. The mess is going to happen. You're strong enough and smart enough to clean it up. 💪

Lincoln's Lady Spymaster: Amy is currently reading "Lincoln's Lady Spymaster" by Geri Willis, about a ring of Civil War spies on the South side who were actually working for Lincoln. She sat next to the author at dinner and calls it one of the most incredible stories she's ever read. 📚
